SHIPPING & DELIVERY
New Zealand orders
Shipping charges are calculated on the size, weight and destination along with the quantity of items ordered. Courier parcels are sent as “signature required” to ensure goods are insured up to receipt at the destination address.
When signing for items received you are signing that you have “received these items in good condition”. If you see damage on the packaging please do not sign for the items or make sure you note the damage on the form at that time.
If you discover what you consider is shipping damage after the items have been delivered please contact Rakau Shofars as soon as possible
When proceeding through checkout, freight in NZ is calculated at a standard rate of $90 throughout New Zealand (Pack and Send). Any changes to freight rates will be posted on this site as they become effective. If your order is eligible for Free Postage, the Free Postage option with $0.00 cost will appear as a Freight Option, select this option and proceed through the checkout as normal.
Approximate Despatch and Shipping Times (NZ)
Once your order is completed online we aim to dispatch your order within 1 Business Day (Monday-Friday). Orders are processed in order of receipt. Once dispatched, the shipping time will be based on the carrier used. Below is an estimate of shipping times:

Same Island Courier – next business day normally if order is processed before 3pm

Same Island Transport – one business day following an order processed before noon

Inter Island Courier – the second business day normally if order is processed before 3pm

Inter Island Transport – 2-5 business days following an order processed before noon
The shipping times above are best case (normal) delivery times. Rural Deliveries may extend the above times by 1-2 days. Delays beyond our control do occur so if you suspect your parcel is late please contact us so we may track it for you.
Holiday Periods; Orders placed during holiday periods (Easter and Christmas / New Year) may be delayed in shipping until the store reopens. Please see any notices posted on the Website.
Customer not at home
Goods shipped by Rakau require a signature for delivery, unless permission is given by the purchaser. Please be aware that somebody will need to be at the premises to receive the item(s) ordered.
For courier, the delivery driver will leave a card in the letterbox should nobody be available to sign for the goods. This card will advise how to reschedule your delivery or where to pick the goods up from (an example being your local post shop).
Merchandise Availability
Due to stock transactions there is always the possibility that an item shown as instock when you completed the online purchase is not available. If that occurs you will be contacted and a refund or backorder processed.
Sales Taxes
We ourselves are not GST registered therefore not required to automatically charge and withhold the applicable GST for orders to be delivered to addresses within New Zealand.
International Orders
Australia
We are happy to post anywhere in Australia for the flate rate of $150
Missing Components or Goods
As there are time constraints for such claims we require our customers to report any missing goods or components of goods within two weeks of receipt (instore or online).
Faulty Goods or Warranty claims.
If you suspect you have a faulty product or wish to make a warranty claim please call or contact Rakau. Returned goods must have prior approval.
Goods supplied in New Zealand are covered by supplier warranties. The Consumer Guarantee Act is applied for goods for private use. The consumer Guarantee Act does not apply to goods purchased for commercial use.

Damaged or Incorrect Merchandise
Couriers / Carriers will normally require the customer’s signature that the goods are received in good condition. Please do not sign if you see or suspect the goods may be damaged.
If when unpacking goods you find what you think is shipping damage please stop immediately and call or contact Rakau Shofars as soon as possible.
